1998
01.
Start of PET Bottle Production.
In a rural location, we managed to manufacture up to 3 million bottles per month which we shipped to bottlers in various industries: oil, mineral water, dairy, etc.
2003
02.
Start of PET Preform Production.
We started as pioneers in the field, ranking 3rd in the domestic market.
2007
03.
Capacity growth and #2 market share in PET Preform Production.
We climbed to second place in the market and, pursuing our sustainability goal, we began promoting a weight reduction policy.
2009
04.
Consolidation of #1 National Market Leader position.
This is the year we became market leaders. We signed new contracts with major market players and launched new projects worth approx. €1.5 MM.
2013
05.
Investment decision for PET Preform Factory relocation.
The year when we decided to build a new factory: project value €12MM, total area of 35,000 sqm of which 25,000 sqm built, production capacity of 8 high-capacity production lines.
2015
06.
National recognition of managerial performance.
Pet Star qualified as a national finalist in the competition organized by Ernst & Young 'Entrepreneur of the Year – 2015'.
2016
07.
Production relocation and implementation of integrated and automated SAP ERP in all production processes.
We successfully completed the relocation of operations to the new factory, along with the integration of all business and production processes into the SAP IT system.
2019
08.
Start of Recycling Factory Project.
Financing agreements were signed for the PET Recycling Factory - project value €30MM.
2021
09.
Completion of Recycling Factory project.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic era limitations and restrictions, we completed the investment on schedule and started production of RPET Granules and RPET Flakes.
2023
10.
Renewable energy project implementation.
Pursuing our vision of sustainable vertical integration, we implemented solar energy sources for both factories.
2025
11.
#1 National recycler position in 'Bottle-to-Bottle' system.
With top technology in both factories, PetStar perfectly closes the Circular Economy loop, transforming PET waste into quality raw materials which then it uses to produce PET preforms.
